Field Notes: A Week in Denali in Photos

Glaciers & soaring peaks, wilderness & wildlife

We just spent a week exploring the remote backcountry wilderness of Denali National Park, and we're still glowing from a week of exhaling in glorious, unbridled nature. Trekking through the remote Alaskan tundra—up and down steep talus fields and across knife-edge ridges—was a jaw-dropping and unforgettable way to experience this landscape. Each night, we camped alongside glacier and mountain peaks; our communal dinners were well-deserved and epic as we replayed the day's highlights in good company under a million stars. We just can't wait until our (backcountry) paths cross again.

“The beauty of this park can’t be explained. To travel through such remote country and explore a unique region was a breathtaking experience. ”
