It’s hard to find another coastline in the world that's as iconic as the Amalfi. With colorful pastel homes speckling craggy mountain ranges, and overlooking clear blue seas, every vista is it’s own little paradise. Add that to Campania's countryside vineyards, wine and art history, charming scenic villages and you have the makings of an enviable Italian experience. This is a trip to be effortlessly enjoyed, and savored.

Moments That Matter

Connect with local artists and chefs, get schooled in pizza making and, of course, savor the wines of an often overshadowed region. You’ll meander through ancient villages, cruise and hike the glorious coastline, swim and relax, and dive deep into the region’s cuisine and centuries-old traditions like a local.

Your Private Experience

Who It’s For

From a romantic escape, to a group of wine enthusiasts, to people looking for a masterclass in regional Italian flavors, our trip is made to be savored by all.

When to Travel

May and September are ideal times to visit. April, June and early October still have pleasant weather and opportunities to avoid the mid-summer crush.

Make It Yours

Take extra time exploring the Amalfi coastline or Campania's wineries—or explore farther afield in Rome, Tuscany, Sicily, Piedmont, and beyond.

Day by Day

Spend more time along the Amalfi Coast or in Campania, or explore other Italian regions? The flow and focus of the trip are up to you. Here are our recommendations:

Days 1 - 2

Naples, Italy’s third-largest city, is just two hours south of Rome and set on the edge of one of Italy’s most beautiful bays. Dive right in at Naples’ oldest spot for street food, Pignasecca Market, followed with a walking tour of the city focused on the Royal Palace, Galleria Umberto, and the marvelous Bourbon Tunnel viaduct. End at a local artist’s studio, treated to a traditional Neapolitan feast prepared by your personal gourmet chef. Next day, the focus is on art and pizza. Start with a hands-on Neapolitan pizza class then take a journey through Naples accompanied by a local art expert. Spot street art collections, including signature Banksy graffiti.

  • Street food & market tour
  • Private tour of city highlights
  • Hands-on pizza making class
  • Naples street art tour
  • Private chef dinner

Day 3

Next stop: Pompeii, the ancient Roman city buried by mounds of volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Explore the mesmerizing archaeological site with a local archaeologist, before heading farther down the stunning Amalfi coastline. End the day’s journey in the seaside town of Amalfi. Then, hike the grounds of a beautiful family estate in nearby Positano, foraging for herbs to incorporate in an unforgettable meal—paired with local wines, of course.

  • VIP visit to Pompeii
  • Private transfer to Amalfi
  • Foraging hike and dinner in Positano

Day 4

Hiking the Amalfi’s craggy coastline along Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods), you realize the name doesn’t even do it justice: spectacular craggy coast, crystal blue waters, views that will stick with you forever. After a morning hike, it’s off to Positano to explore this incredible medieval Italian village, past colorful buildings seemingly stacked atop one another, brilliant blue and orange umbrellas polka-dotting the pebbly beach, and plenty of boutiques.

  • Hike along the Amalfi Coast
  • Explore Positano
  • Ferry ride back to Amalfi

Day 5

Take the ferry from Salerno and head into Irpinia in Campania, where winemaking has been going on since the 13th century BC. Campania is home to more than a hundred native grapes. This wine region rivals even well-known Tuscany for producing some of Italy’s most respected wines. You’ll be led through a taste of the best at family-run Feudi di San Gregorio. End the evening with a local meal in Telese Terme, your new home base.

  • Ferry from Salerno
  • Private tour of family-run vineyard
  • Dinner in Telese Terme

Day 6

Wend your way through the nearby village of Sant’Agata de’ Goti, then head to Cerreto Sannita to meet with local ceramicist Vincenzo Franco. Get a hands-on look at ceramics history, then try your hand. End the day with dinner at Locanda del Borgo, the Michelin-starred masterpiece that just happens to be connected to your hotel, over a four-course meal using some of the territory’s finest ingredients and gastronomical traditions.

  • Visit village of Sant’Agata de’ Goti
  • Meet with local ceramicist
  • Dinner at Michelin-starred Locanda del Borgo
